I witnessed my first birth on Wednesday in my Labor and Delivery clinical! And I loved it...I had to turned away to stop myself from crying while I watched the first-time Mom and Dad hold their new son. I loved playing a role during a personal time in people's lives. The labor was full of ups and downs with the baby's heart rate dropping but I loved the fast pace nature and quick thinking to get the baby's heart rate back up. I could really see myself in this nursing field in the future and I can't wait for my future Labor and Delivery clinical!
